How it works
- Prepare your left thumb impression as the guidelines describe (see “The same guidelines also ask” below), then scan it or capture an image of it.
- Choose the image and drag or zoom so the thumb impression fills the frame. The frame has the required 170:132 shape, so nothing is stretched.
- Tap “Process thumb impression”. We resize to exactly 170 × 132 pixels, compress to fit 5–20 KB at the best possible quality, and set the DPI.
- Check the results list, then download the JPG and upload it to the CCC form.

Common problems this fixes
- Thumb impression too small in the frame
- Zoom in so the thumb impression fills most of the frame. Extra blank paper around it is kept in the image and makes it harder to read.
- “Invalid dimensions” on the form
- The form checks exact pixel sizes. Scans and camera images are usually thousands of pixels wide; this tool outputs exactly 170 × 132 pixels.
- File is below 5 KB
- A thumb impression on plain white paper is very simple, so it compresses to a small file. We keep the highest-quality version and tell you if it is below 5 KB, instead of adding artificial data.
Frequently asked questions
What size should the CCC left thumb impression be?
According to the NIELIT CCC Examination Application Guidelines, Version 1.11 (2023): 170 × 132 pixels (width × height), between 5–20 KB, in JPG/JPEG format, at 96–200 DPI. Older versions of the guidelines listed different values, so always check the current version before you upload.
How should I prepare the left thumb impression?
Take the left thumb impression on white paper using black or blue ink. The image must not be blurred or smudged. This tool fixes the size, file size, format and DPI; it can't change how the thumb impression was made.
Why is my thumb impression below 5 KB?
Simple dark-on-white images compress to very small files. If the result is still under 5 KB at maximum quality, we keep that version rather than padding the file. You can still download it; if the form rejects it, try a sharper, higher-resolution scan.
Is my image uploaded to your server?
No. Everything happens inside your browser; the image never leaves your device.
Is ExamPhotoFixer affiliated with NIELIT?
No. ExamPhotoFixer is an independent tool and is not affiliated with NIELIT or any exam body.
