How it works

  1. Choose a recent passport-style colour photo (see the guideline notes further down this page).
  2. Drag and zoom so your face fills the frame. The frame has the 200:230 shape, so your photo is cropped, never stretched.
  3. Tap “Process photo”. We fix the orientation, resize to 200 × 230 pixels, compress to fit 20–50 KB at the best possible quality, and write 200 DPI into the file.
  4. Check the results list, download the JPG and upload it in the photograph field of the IBPS application.

The same guidelines also ask:

  • Use a recent passport-style colour photograph taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.
  • Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face, without harsh shadows or red-eye.
  • Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. If you wear glasses, there should be no reflections. Religious headwear is allowed but must not cover your face.
  • During the online application you must also capture and upload a photograph with a webcam or mobile phone, in addition to this uploaded photograph.

Common problems this fixes

Photo rejected as too large
Phone photos are usually several megabytes. The tool compresses to fit within 20–50 KB while keeping the highest quality that fits.
Two photo steps in the application
IBPS asks for this uploaded photograph and, separately, a photo captured live with a webcam or phone during the application. This tool prepares the uploaded photograph only.
Face squashed after resizing
Resizing without cropping distorts the face. The tool crops to the required shape first, so proportions stay natural.

Frequently asked questions

What size should the IBPS photo be?

According to the IBPS CRP RRBs Detailed Notification, Version XV (01.09.2026): 200 × 230 pixels (width × height, stated as preferred), between 20–50 KB, in JPG/JPEG format. The scanning instructions ask for at least 200 DPI. Check the notification for your recruitment before you upload.

Does this replace the live photo capture?

No. IBPS also asks you to capture a photo with a webcam or mobile phone during the application. That step happens on the IBPS website; this tool only prepares the photograph you upload.

Is my photo uploaded to your server?

No. Cropping, resizing and compression all happen inside your browser. The photo never leaves your device.

Is ExamPhotoFixer affiliated with IBPS?

No. ExamPhotoFixer is an independent tool and is not affiliated with IBPS or any bank or exam body.
