How it works

  1. Prepare your left thumb impression as the notification describes (see “The same guidelines also ask” below), then scan it or take a clear, well-lit picture of it.
  2. Choose the image and drag or zoom so the thumb impression fills the frame. The frame has the 240:240 shape, so nothing is stretched.
  3. Tap “Process thumb impression”. We resize to exactly 240 × 240 pixels, compress to fit 20–50 KB at the best possible quality, and write 200 DPI into the file.
  4. Check the results list, download the JPG and upload it in the left thumb impression field of the IBPS application.

The same guidelines also ask:

  • Put your left thumb impression on white paper with black or blue ink.
  • If you don't have a left thumb, the notification says which finger (or toe) to use instead, and that you must write in the uploaded image which finger and hand (or toe) it is.

Common problems this fixes

Thumb impression too small in the frame
Zoom in so the thumb impression fills most of the frame. Blank paper around it stays in the image and makes it harder to read.
File is below 20 KB
Dark ink on plain white paper compresses to small files. We keep the highest-quality version and tell you if it is below 20 KB, instead of adding artificial data. A sharper scan or photo usually helps.
What the tool can't check
The tool checks size, file size, format and DPI. It can't check whether the impression is clear or which finger was used. Follow the notification's instructions for those.

Frequently asked questions

What size should the IBPS left thumb impression be?

According to the IBPS CRP RRBs Detailed Notification, Version XV (01.09.2026): 240 × 240 pixels (width × height, stated as preferred), between 20–50 KB, in JPG/JPEG format. The scanning instructions ask for at least 200 DPI. Check the notification for your recruitment before you upload.

How should I prepare the left thumb impression?

Put your left thumb impression on white paper with black or blue ink. If you don't have a left thumb, the notification says which finger (or toe) to use instead, and that you must write in the uploaded image which finger and hand (or toe) it is. This tool fixes the size, file size, format and DPI; it can't change how the thumb impression was made.
